Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. celery
    1 clove garlic, minced
    3 Tbsp. oil
    2 c. tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    dash of Texas Pete
    1 tsp. cornstarch or plain flour
    1 lb. shrimp, cleaned and deveined
Preparation
    Cook onions, green peppers, celery and garlic in hot oil until tender.
    Add tomatoes, paste and seasonings; simmer 45 minutes. Mix cornstarch with 2 teaspoons cold water; stir into sauce.
    Add shrimp and simmer 10 minutes more.
    Spoon over cooked rice. Yield: 8 servings.
