Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. macaroni
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    pinch of cayenne pepper
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    3 c. grated sharp cheese
    1 c. half and half
Preparation
    Boil macaroni in water until tender and drain thoroughly. Stir in butter. Mix mustard and salt with 1 tablespoon hot water and add to half and half. Add beaten egg. Mix in cheese, leaving enough to sprinkle on top. Pour into a buttered casserole and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until custard is set and top is crusty.
