Old-Time Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1/2 c. cream
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. butter
3 egg whites
flour

Preparation

Mix together sugar and egg yolks, then add cream, soda and baking powder; blend well.
Add milk and butter; mix.
Beat egg whites until stiff and blend in.
Add enough flour to make stiff and roll out.
Cut and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in 300\u00b0 oven until brown.
