Ingredients

1 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk (to sour milk, use 1 Tbsp. vinegar plus milk to equal 1 c.)
2 eggs
1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in medium bowl.
Add buttermilk and eggs; beat with wooden spoon just until blended.
Gradually add melted butter, beating until smooth.
Bake in waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions.
Serve warm with pancake syrup or, for dessert, with ice cream, fruit-flavored syrups and sweetened whipped cream or top with chocolate Cool Whip.
