Sausage Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage
    1 cup rice
    1 onion, chopped
    2 cans beef consomme, or, 1 can beef consomme and 1 can water
    1 small can mushrooms, optional
Preparation
    brown sausage, drain off fat. Combine with rice, consomme, onion and mushrooms in a 9 x 13 dish. Cover with foil and bake at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Stir gently before serving.
