Dough For Fatayer Or Pita Bread - cooking recipe

6 c. flour
1 level Tbsp. salt
3 pkg. dry yeast (dissolved in 1 c. warm water and 1 tsp. sugar)
1/4 c. Crisco
2 c. warm water
Preparation

Mix flour and salt.
Melt Crisco over low heat and add warm water to melted Crisco.
Add water and dissolved dry yeast and sugar; pour over flour and mix well.
Make a soft dough.
Add more flour if needed.
Knead well until dough is soft but not sticky. Add flour if needed for sticky dough.
Cover with plastic until dough doubles in size (approximately 1 1/2 hours).
Divide into equal pieces.
Shape round like a grapefruit.
Set on a floured cloth and let rest approximately 1 hour.
Flatten dough and roll and cut with 4-inch cutter.
