Pear Honey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bushel pears
    10 lb. sugar
    3 large cans crushed pineapple
    juice of 4 lemons
Preparation
    Peel, slice and chop fine (or grate) pears.
    Put in a heavy pot.
    Add sugar, pineapple and lemon juice.
    Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let cook down until thick.
    Put in hot jars and seal.
    Makes about 30 pints.
