Southern Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pastry pie shell
    1/4 c. butter
    2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    dash of salt
    3/4 c. dark Karo syrup
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 1/2 c. pecan halves, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream together butter, brown sugar and salt.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Pour in pie shell.
    Cook at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
