Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. hot water
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 pkg. yeast
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    4 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in hot water and buttermilk.
    Add sugar and shortening.
    Blend in 2 cups flour until elastic.
    Add 2 more cups flour.
    Roll, cut and dip in hot butter.
    Fold as for a pocketbook.
    Place in a pan.
    Let rise until double in bulk (about 3 hours).
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Rub butter on top of hot rolls.
