Mrs. Alfred J. Orlidge'S Fruit Cocktail Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. fruit cocktail
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Drain fruit cocktail; cream butter, brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
Add eggs.
Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with 1/3 cup of cocktail syrup.
Add cocktail and nuts.
Drop by spoonful on greasy cookie sheet.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
