Sauerkraut Surprise Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 (8 oz.) can (1 c.) sauerkraut, drained, rinsed and finely snipped
    1 c. water
    3 eggs
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In large mixing bowl, cream butter or margarine and sugar until light.
    Beat in eggs one at a time and add vanilla.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cocoa.
    Add to creamed mixture alternating with water and beating after each addition.
    Stir in sauerkraut.
    Turn into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool in pan and frost with sour cream chocolate frosting.
