Yam And Apple Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium yams
    2 medium apples
    1/4 lb. margarine (4 oz.)
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. mace
Preparation
    Peel and slice yams 1/2 inch thick.
    Cook yams in water on top of stove until tender.
    Peel and core apples.
    Cut each apple into six rings.
    Layer yams and apple rings in a buttered casserole dish.
    Dot with butter.
    Sprinkle with mace and sugar.
    Bake covered at 350 degrees about one hour.
