Brazilian Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, chopped
    1 tsp. chopped garlic
    1 c. rice
    2 c. water
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Saute onion in 2 tablespoons olive oil, then add garlic.
    When onion and garlic are transparent, add rice and water.
    When rice and water come to a boil, add salt.
    Cover and lower temperature to low heat and simmer until no water is in bottom of pan, approximately 20 minutes.
