Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 lb. confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt butter
    in saucepan.
    Add brown sugar and milk and heat to\tboiling, stirring constantly.
    Boil gently 5 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.
    Blend in confectioners sugar, beating until smooth.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat until spreading consistency.
