Salted Peanut Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (part butter or margarine)
    1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. all purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. salted peanuts
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
    Measure flour by sifting.
    Blend together flour, soda and salt; stir and mix in peanuts.
    Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough about 2-inches apart on a lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten with bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.
    Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
    Bakes about 6 dozen 2-inch cookies.
