Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
4 c. All-Bran cereal
5 c. flour
nuts, raisins and cinnamon (optional)
1 c. butter or margarine
4 eggs
2 c. 40% Bran Flakes cereal
1 qt. buttermilk
2 c. boiling water
Preparation

Dissolve baking soda into 2 cups boiling water; set aside and cool.
Cream butter and sugar together; beat in eggs.
Stir in rest of the ingredients, adding soda water last.
Bake in muffin pan at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Covered batter can be kept refrigerated for up to 6 weeks.
