Beef And Vegetable Tortilla Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can corn, drained
    1 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 or 4 flour tortillas
    Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    In a 12-inch skillet on high heat, brown meat, onion and garlic.
    Add chili powder and cook 1 minute.
    Add tomatoes and juice, corn, kidney beans, oregano and salt.
    Bring to a boil on high heat, then simmer for 10 minutes on reduced heat.
    Put mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Cut tortillas in 1-inch strips and lay on top of beef mixture.
    Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
