Spiced Cupcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour
    2 1/2 c. raisins
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cook the raisins in 3 cups water and boil for 5 minutes; drain and cool.
    To 1 1/2 cups raisin water, add baking soda.
    Then alternately add flour, spices and nuts along with the raisins. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Tastes real good with a buttercream frosting.
