Mud Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Nestle semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In a bowl, beat brown sugar, butter and vanilla until creamy.
Add egg; beat well.
Gradually add flour mixture.
Stir in 1 1/2 cups chocolate morsels and all nuts. Spread in foil-lined 9-inch square baking pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 23 to 25 minutes.
Immediately sprinkle remaining chocolate morsels over top.
When morsels are shiny, spread evenly with a knife.
When cool, chill 10 minutes to set chocolate.
Cut into 2 x 1 1/2-inch bars.
Makes 36 bars.
