Marinated Raw Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
    fresh ground black pepper
    3 Tbsp. wine vinegar or lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dried tarragon or oregano, crushed
    1/2 c. olive oil
Preparation
    Cut the stems from the mushrooms and reserve.
    Cut the ends from the stems.
    Wash the mushrooms thoroughly; dry and slice. Mix the remaining ingredients together and add the mushroom tips and stems; toss until all the pieces are coated.
    Let stand at room temperature for several hours before serving.
    Serve with picks as a cocktail accompaniment.
