Ground Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck
    1 small onion, chopped
    20 oz. tomato juice
    2 medium potatoes
    2 carrots
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1/4 c. rice (optional)
    1/4 c. corn (optional)
    1/4 c. peas (optional)
    1/4 c. green beans (optional)
Preparation
    Place beef and onion in skillet and fry until done.
    Drain. Place in a heavy saucepan and add desired vegetables, cover with water and cook until vegetables are tender.
    Add tomato juice and season with 1 teaspoon each salt and pepper.
    Bring to a boil and simmer about 30 minutes.
