Washday Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter
    onions
    Irish potatoes
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 can tomatoes
    sausages
Preparation
    Use a large, flat pan, enamel or aluminum.
    Melt butter in it. Slice a thick layer of onions, then a generous layer of potatoes. Sift flour over this.
    Pour tomatoes (use a large can if for large family) over; slice sausages thinly and cover the top.
    Cover with boiling water salted to taste and bake slowly 3 hours.
    If sausages get too brown, turn them over.
    This recipe is so tasty that it will not be confined to washdays if once tried.
