Tapioca Cream Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    3 tsp. quick cooking tapioca
    dash of salt
    1 slightly beaten egg yolk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg white
Preparation
    Reserve 2 teaspoons sugar.
    Combine remaining sugar with milk, tapioca and salt.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Add egg yolk.
    Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat (mixture will be thin).
    Add vanilla.
    Beat egg white to soft peaks.
    Slowly add reserved 2 teaspoons sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
    Gradually stir into hot mixture.
