Ingredients

1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked
2 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. butter
2 eggs, separated
Preparation

Mix all ingredients, except egg whites, and cook until thick. Cool and pour into baked pie shell.
Beat egg whites and add 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar.
Top the pie and bake about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
