Barbecued Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) ready-to-cook broiler-fryer chicken
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1/4 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. catsup
    1/3 c. water
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. each: brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar and prepared mustard
Preparation
    In a skillet, brown slowly in oil the chicken.
    Place in 12
    x 7 1/2 x 2-inch baking dish.
    To skillet, add onions and celery; cook until tender.
    Add catsup, water, lemon juice, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar and mustard.
    Season.
    Simmer 15 minutes; skim off excess fat.
    Pour sauce over chicken.
    Bake uncovered at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours or until done, basting 3 or 4 times.
