Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. Karo
1/2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cocoa
2 c. peanuts
1 tsp. vanilla
6 or 8 drops red food coloring

Preparation

Boil to soft ball stage the Karo, water, sugar, salt, cocoa and peanuts.
Add vanilla and red food coloring.
Stir until loss of gloss.
Drop by teaspoon on buttered wax paper.
