Spaghetti Sauce A La Anvik - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. mushrooms with liquid
Preparation
    Saute onion and garlic in oil in large saucepan.
    Stir in tomato paste, tomato sauce, water, seasoning and mushrooms.
    Boil gently, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
    Add ground beef or meatballs for spaghetti, or use in making lasagna.
