Butter Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. fresh butter beans
    1 small ham hock
    1 tsp. salt
    water
Preparation
    Put beans in a covered saucepan with the ham hock and add enough water to come about 1-inch above.
    Add salt; cover and simmer until beans are done, about 1 hour.
    Check for salt. Serves 4.
