Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
4 oz. cold unsalted butter
1 c. raisins
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg yolk
3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground nutmeg and salt and mix well.
Cube unsalted butter and work in with fingers until pea-sized pieces form.
Stir in raisins and sugar.
Whisk together egg yolk and buttermilk and stir into mixture.
Turn out dough onto floured surface and knead 10 to 12 times.
Cut in half and pat each half into a 6-inch circle, slice circle into 6 wedges.
Transfer wedges in a circle to ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 18 to 22 minutes until lightly browned.
