Cheese Crescents - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 stick (1/2 c.) margarine
1 c. cottage cheese, divided
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
Preparation

In medium bowl mix together flour, margarine, salt and 1/2 cup cottage cheese.
I find this works best when I mix with my hands. (There will still be small lumps from the cheese.)
Chill several hours up to several days.
Divide dough into thirds.
On lightly floured surface, roll each third into a 10-inch circle about 1/8-inch thick.
Mix well remaining 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and egg.
(Again, there will still be some lumps.)
Spread 1/3 of this mixture on each circle.
Cut into 8 wedges.
Starting from wide end, roll up each wedge.
Place on greased baking sheet.
Bake on top rack of preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 18 to 20 minutes until golden. Remove to racks to cool.
Makes 24.
