Dilled Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. green tomatoes
    3 1/2 c. white vinegar
    3 1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. salt (canning or iodized)
    6 or 7 garlic cloves
    2 Tbsp. dill seed or 2 sprigs fresh dill
    1 bay leaf (per jar)
Preparation
    Wash and slice tomatoes in wedges.
    Combine the vinegar, water and salt; bring to a boil (keep hot but not boiling).
    Pack tomatoes into warm jars with garlic, dill and bay leaf.
    Add liquid to 1/4 inch below tops of jars.
    Clean rims and put on lids with caps; do not seal tightly.
    Process for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from boiling bath and let cool.
