Ingredients

8 slices French bread, cut 3/4-inch thick
4 eggs
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. orange juice
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Arrange bread in single layer in 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. In a medium bowl, beat eggs with milk, orange juice, sugar, vanilla and salt until well blended.
Pour over bread, turning slices to coat evenly. Refrigerate, covered, overnight. Saute bread in hot skillet with butter until golden. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
Serves 4.
