Ingredients

2 c. sugar
3 c. cake flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sticks butter
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs; mix well.
Combine flour, soda and baking powder.
Alternate flour and milk to creamed mixture.
Add vanilla.
Mix well.
Pour into greased and floured cake pans.
Bake at 325\u00b0.
