Crescendo Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. corn meal
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into bowl.
    Stir in corn meal.
    Add eggs, milk and shortening; beat with rotary or electric beater until just mixed.
    Pour into greased 9-inch square pan.
    Bake in preheated 425\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
