Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 pkg. strawberry jello
    1 tsp. red food coloring
    1 qt. fresh or frozen strawberries
Preparation
    Cook water, sugar and cornstarch until thickened.
    Add jello and food coloring. Let mixture set until cold. Fold in sliced strawberries.
    If berries are frozen, drain and use instead of water. If there isn't 2 1/2 cups of juice, use what juice you have and add the rest water.
    Pour into baked pie shells.
    Top with whipped cream.
    Makes 2 pies.
