Small Golden Pretzels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
2 - 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 c. milk, slightly warm
1 egg for brushing
1/4 c. butter
1 Tbsp. milk
1 egg
2 pkg. saffron
Preparation

In a large bowl dissolve yeast in warm milk.
Melt butter and add to mixture.
Add salt, egg and crumbled saffron, and 2 cups flour.
Knead dough on floured surface for a couple of minutes until smooth.
Add more flour as needed.
Let dough rise in warm place for 30 minutes.
Punch dough down and knead dough again on floured surface.
Form into long roll, cut dough into 24 pieces. Roll each piece into a 10 inch string.
Form pretzels and place on a baking sheet.
Let rise 20 minutes.
Beat egg and milk and brush pretzels.
Bake at 425\u00b0 - 450\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
