Missouri (Crock-Pot) Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (7 oz.) bottle French dressing
    1 (7 oz.) jar apricot jam
    1 envelope dry onion soup
    1 (2 to 3 lb.) chicken, cut in serving pieces
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Combine French dressing, jam and soup mix in saucepan and bring to simmer.
    Cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring until well blended.
    Remove from heat.
    Brown chicken in oil.
    Place in slow cooker.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Add sauce.
    Cover and cook on low 4 hours.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
