Yellow Squash Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow squash
    1 small onion, grated
    1 egg, beaten
    1/3 c. flour
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    oil (to deep fry)
Preparation
    Boil squash until tender.
    Drain and mash.
    Combine squash, onion and egg; add flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt.
    Mix well and drop by level teaspoon into hot oil.
    Fry until golden brown.
    (These make great hushpuppies for eating with fish.)
