7-Layer Overnight Salad(Ala Diane Hogan) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 heads lettuce, torn in pieces
1/4 c. diced celery or more to taste
1/4 c. diced green pepper
1/4 c. diced onion
1 pkg. frozen peas, slightly thawed (can drain on paper towels)
2 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 (4 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 lb. crisp bacon, crumbled
Preparation

In large bowl, layer lettuce, celery, green pepper, onion and peas.
Spread mayonnaise completely over peas with spatula. Sprinkle sugar lightly over mayonnaise.
Layer Cheddar cheese. Layer crumbled bacon over top.
Seal tightly with Saran Wrap. Refrigerate overnight.
(If leftovers are anticipated, drain various vegetables before layering to decrease eventual sogginess.)
