Do Ahead Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut and drained
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    8 oz. lasagna noodles
    8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
    1 1/2 c. (12 oz.) creamed small curd cottage cheese
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in large frypan; drain fat.
    Stir tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, oregano and pepper into ground beef.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
    Cook lasagna noodles; drain well.
    Alternate layers of noodles, Mozzarella cheese, cottage cheese, meat sauce and Parmesan cheese in ungreased 11 x 7-inch pan or 9-inch square pan.
    Cover and refrigerate.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 until hot and bubbly, about 40 minutes.
    Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
    Makes 6 servings.
