Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. oleo
    2 1/4 c. light brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 small pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Sift the flour, baking powder and salt.
    Set aside.
    Beat softened oleo and sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well.
    Add dry ingredients; mix.
    Add nuts and chocolate bits.
    Bake in a jelly roll pan (greased) at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Take out when bars look undercooked.
    Cut into squares when almost cool.
