Cherry Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites (large)
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. broken saltines
    1 c. broken pecan meats
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 envelopes Dream Whip
    1 can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff.
    Gradually add sugar until well blended.
    Fold in nuts, vanilla and crackers. Pour into a well-greased 9 x 12-inch baking pan.
    Bake for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool.
