No Fail Pie Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sifted flour
    1 c. margarine
    3/4 c. Crisco
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 c. water
    2 tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation
    Blend shortening with two knives or pastry blender until coarse textured.
    Add well beaten egg with 1/2 cup water and the salt.
    Roll into ball.
    Divide into 4 portions.
    (Can be put in pie tin and frozen, if desired.)
    Roll one portion for prebaked crust for cream or lemon pies.
    Prick with fork before baking in a 375\u00b0 oven until nicely browned.
    Cool and pour in desired filling.
