Lendburg'S Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 or 13 saltine crackers
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. sugar
    12 chopped dates
    3 egg whites
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation
    Crumble saltines in bottom of 8-inch aluminum pie pan (this is crust).
    Put dates and pecans on crust.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Fold in 1 cup sugar and add the flavoring.
    Pour this mixture onto pecans and dates.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
