1930'S Depression Okra And Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 large onions, chopped
2 lb. fresh okra, cut up
5 or 6 large tomatoes, cut up
Preparation
-
Saute onions and add the okra.
Cook until okra is blended, about 10 minutes.
Add tomatoes.
Stir and simmer until okra is done.
A small amount of flour may be added for thickness; either flour okra before adding to onions or while okra and tomatoes are simmering.
Serve with hot corn bread.
