Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 large onion
1 large can whole kernel corn
1 medium can whole tomatoes
1 large can tomato sauce
1 c. uncooked corn meal
1 medium can pitted olives
1 tsp. chili powder (if desired)
salt and pepper to taste
3/4 to 1 c. milk
Preparation

Brown meat and onion.
Add seasonings.
Mix corn, tomatoes and tomato sauce, corn meal, olives and milk in separate bowl.
Add meat and onion last.
Corn meal absorbs liquids so be sure mixture is quite juicy.
Place mixture in large casserole dish, placed in larger pan of water.
Bake in hot oven (425\u00b0 to 450\u00b0) for about 1 hour.
