Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg and mix well.
    Add dry ingredients, which have been sifted together.
    Add vanilla.
    Roll out on floured board and cut with cookie cutter.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for approximately 10 minutes.
    (Do not grease cookie sheet.)
