Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. 100% bran
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    5 c. flour
    4 c. 40% bran flakes
    5 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 qt. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over 100% bran and cool.
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Mix bran into eggs.
    Add flour, 40% bran flakes, soda, salt, buttermilk, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon.
    Refrigerate up to 30 days.
    Bake in greased muffin tins 25 to 30 minutes at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0.
