Petite Pocketbooks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2 sticks butter
    2 c. flour, sifted
    your favorite flavor jam
Preparation
    Soften butter to room temperature.
    Add cream cheese, salt and sugar to butter.
    Cream until well blended.
    Work in the flour with fingers.
    Chill for several hours.
    Divide dough into thirds; roll out each portion on a floured board to about 1/8-inch thick. Cut into 3-inch squares.
    Place 1/2 teaspoon jam or canned filling in center of each one.
    Fold so corners overlap in center to enclose jam. Bake on greased cookie sheets at 350\u00b0 for 16 to 18 minutes until golden brown.
