Pecan Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. powdered sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. pecans or walnuts, finely chopped
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until creamy.
    Add vanilla and water; beat well.
    Gradually add flour and salt until well blended.
    Add pecans or walnuts; mix well.
    On greased (lightly) cookie sheet, roll dough into walnut size balls; prick 2 to 3 times for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Let cookies cool for 1 minute, then remove from cookie sheet and roll in powdered sugar.
    Let cool.
    Makes about 5 dozen.
